What started as a nightmare before Christmas ended as a Christmas miracle.
I’d like to share with you the story of Anna and her baby boy, Sammy.
While Anna diligently pursued a second opinion about a rush open heart surgery for Sammy, her baby was literally taken from her arms. Police and Child Protective Services entered Anna’s home, fully armed, and stole Sammy away to an unknown hospital.
Appalled by the news, I immediately reached out to make phone calls, authored a letter to the head of CPS in California, spoke with the media, and demanded a full audit of this government organization.
This Christmas, may we all remember to treasure the liberties we have here in California and throughout these United States, as outlined by our Constitution. May we all be willing to stand up to oppression and abuse of government wherever we find it.
Together, we helped save Christmas for a loving mother and her beautiful son. While our rights are under threat, standing up still makes a real difference, as seen in the case of Anna and Sammy. These results are my reasons for peace and joy this holiday season.
From our family to yours, the Donnellys wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Godspeed,
Assemblyman Tim Donnelly

A new Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) Report today shows that crime has increased in California, thanks to Governor Jerry Brown’s early prison inmate release program.
